After 25 years of doing mostly high-level stuff, I have decided to get back in touch with my low-level hardware roots and play with the Arduino in an attempt to stave off early-onset Alzheimer’s. With the background of a BSEE and MSEE (earned in 80/81), I felt the siren song of low-level programming to make physical things jump through pre-programmed hoops. Believe me, we have come a long way since feeding Fortran programs into an IBM 1401 on punch cards. And I am very excited about it. I will be reading your blog (an others as well) with relish. I have a lot to learn and and maybe a little to teach. Thanks.
