Replacement Tube / Arrived Damaged

Hi,

We recently purchased your product the Geiger Counter Kit - Radiation Sensor PRODUCT ID: 483 from Adafruit and its arrived with a broken tube as per the attached picture. Whats the best way forward for getting the product up and running?

Brenton,

Sorry to hear that! The end caps do separate from the body of the tube occasionally. If the wire soldered to the end cap is still connected, the end cap can be pushed back on and superglued in place.

You can also contact Adafruit support. In most cases they will arrange for a replacement tube to be shipped to you.

Thanks for the quick reply! Fingers crossed the end cap is still connected.

It takes quite a bit of force to break the wire, so it should be easy to fix. Let me know if you have any other problems and I hope you enjoy your kit!
