Expected battery life?

What's the expected battery life of the AAA batteries? It's ticking at probably once every 2 seconds. Of course, I realize it depends on brands and such, but are we talking 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months?

That's a great question. I haven't characterized the battery life but it should be on the order of a few days. I'll add this to my to-do list and post an update when I have more information.

For me it ran 5 days continously. Then I got more and more bursts of faulty readings (way too high) from the GC. The voltage of the batteries had dropped to 2.5V by then, which is propably a bit too far off. (E.g. the datasheet for the Atmel mentions VCC 2.7V min.)
