Trouble Shooting guide

Postby denniston » Sun Feb 07, 2010 11:09 am

I was wondering if someone could help me with the steps to trouble shooting why my wifiradio doesn't make any sound. Would it be really hard for someone to make a check list of steps to make sure everything is working right. In my case, everything looks right (as far as I know) but for some reason it doesn't play. I have internet connectivity, I have mpd and mpc installed, I've added a couple of stations, and still nothing.

Thanks

Nah, we'd probably advise you to try one thing at a time and come back to us, telling us what happened. :D

I'm assuming the router openWRT firmware has been able to boot up, and you are able to run MPD/MPC? If you load a radio station, can you actually play it? If you load a file format it cannot play (eg AAC), then it sorta looks like it is playing, but the playtime counter does not change.
