Adding an ESP8266 + OLED Interface to the Mightyohm Geiger Counter

Icarus has written a tutorial on connecting the MightyOhm Geiger Counter to an ESP8266 module and OLED display. His code (written in LUA for NodeMcu) is available on github. He is using the Wemos D1 mini board.

    1. Yes, but with a single detector there is no way to distinguish between cosmic rays and background radiation. You could build a coincidence detector with two or more geiger counters.

      1. Great, I understand how to stack them and get a coincidental reading. I’m looking into this, it might be just what we need. Thanks.

    1. Josh – Great to hear from you and thanks for reminding me about that awesome project! It deserves its own post, stay tuned…
