{"id":3686,"date":"2011-03-05T13:24:31","date_gmt":"2011-03-05T19:24:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mightyohm.com\/blog\/?page_id=3686"},"modified":"2011-10-30T00:49:41","modified_gmt":"2011-10-30T05:49:41","slug":"support-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mightyohm.com\/blog\/support-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Support Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I get a lot of questions about the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mightyohm.com\/blog\/products\/\">products<\/a> and projects on this site. \u00a0This is great, \u00a0because it means that people are actually buying kits and reading the blog!<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, answering these questions takes a lot of\u00a0time. \u00a0What is particularly time consuming is that I often answer the same questions over and over again.<\/p>\n<p>Why is this?<\/p>\n<p>One reason is that I receive a lot of requests for support via private channels such as PMs on the forums, contact form submissions, and e-mail.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to reduce my support workload and encourage collaboration between customers and readers of the blog, I have slowly started to redirect support requests to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mightyohm.com\/forum\">support forums<\/a>.\u00a0 The forums help me help you.\u00a0 All posts on the forums are public, so other readers can participate in and benefit from the discussion.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward, I will no longer be answering support requests via a private channel. \u00a0If you send me an e-mail, contact form, or PM on the forums that is not of a specifically private nature, there\u2019s a good chance I will respond with a form letter redirecting you to the support forums. \u00a0This isn\u2019t because I don\u2019t want to help, but because I need to make the most effective use of the limited amount of time I have to provide support.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this doesn\u2019t mean that I won\u2019t be responding to private communications at all \u2013 if you have something you would like to discuss that warrants a closed conversation, then by all means, send me a private message on the forums or submit a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mightyohm.com\/blog\/contact\">contact form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d also like to point out that product support gets top priority, so if you have a question about a project that doesn\u2019t involve a kit (like the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mightyohm.com\/wifiradio\">Wifi Radio<\/a> project) and I don\u2019t respond immediately, please bear with me \u2013 I\u2019ll get to your request as soon as I can.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I get a lot of questions about the\u00a0products and projects on this site. \u00a0This is great, \u00a0because it means that people are actually buying kits and reading the blog!
