Re: Sending it to (near) space
Check out this post: https://mightyohm.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3333 Some teams have run into issues at very high altitudes, possibly stemming from corona discharge of the HV portions of the circuit. The tube circuit is very high impedance so it is sensitive to this. The power supply is also somewh...

Re: DAN’S WI-FI AND OLED UPGRADE FOR THE MIGHTYOHM GEIGER COUNTER KIT
Sorry folks. It would probably be easier to use Dan's project as inspiration to re-create this project from scratch at this point.

Re: DAN’S WI-FI AND OLED UPGRADE FOR THE MIGHTYOHM GEIGER COUNTER KIT
Hrm, this looks like a libraries issue - probably the libraries have changed over time and the old code no longer builds. Have you tried reaching out to Dan Watson?

Re: BOM with manufacturer part numbers
I've never released a full BOM for a few reasons, but primarily to discourage blatant low-effort ripoffs of the kit. The other big reason is that in over ten years no one has ever asked for it! :D The existing BOM actually has a lot of good info and I think there's only a few places where you have t...

Re: VR1 - getting ticks at full counter clockwise ?
Hans, Glad you are enjoying your kit! It's not unusual to hear clicks with VR1 fully counterclockwise. In this case I would set it somewhere between 9 and 12 o'clock. VR1 sets the high voltage. You can use a 1 gigaohm resistor and a DMM to check and set the voltage to 400V. Make sure your DMM has a ...

Re: Opposite day: Ticking too fast!?
OK, that is very helpful, thanks. It sounds like your Geiger tube is bad. If the tube came with your kit, you can send an email to support@mightyohm.com and I'll send a replacement.
