Re: Power supply

The kit requires two AAA batteries. The high voltage power supply is generated inside the kit so you only need the two batteries for the kit to work.

Hello,

What is the part number of the ATMEGA2560 that you are trying to program? Can you please post a photo?

Thank you!

Re: Hangs on entering fuse values

Not totally sure what's happening here, most likely it is hanging because it can't communicate with the target. Do you have another part (like a genuine 328p) you can try?

Can you tell me more about the target? I'm not familiar with any clones of the 328p.

Re: Does the code work with the atmega2560?

The 2560 uses the same HVPP scheme as the 328P and other parts. The signals and commands appear to be the same. I haven't tested the 2560 myself but it should work. Can you tell us the current values of the fuses and the fuses you are trying to set? Can you also include a couple screenshot of your A...

Re: 28 pin qfn

It depends on how the dip breakout is wired, but if it simply connects pin 1 on the QFN to pin 1 on the DIP, then yes because the QFN uses a different pinout you'll have to make sure to re-route the correct signals to the shield.

Re: Sending it to (near) space

Check out this post: https://mightyohm.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3333 Some teams have run into issues at very high altitudes, possibly stemming from corona discharge of the HV portions of the circuit. The tube circuit is very high impedance so it is sensitive to this. The power supply is also somewh...

Sorry folks. It would probably be easier to use Dan's project as inspiration to re-create this project from scratch at this point.
