Sending it to (near) space

I'm working on a HAB (high altitude balloon) project and want to put a geiger counter on the payload. Previously I had used https://www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/11345 but wanted to try something new. Any issues you can think of that would impact operation in very high altitudes (90k-100k ft)?

Some teams have run into issues at very high altitudes, possibly stemming from corona discharge of the HV portions of the circuit.
The tube circuit is very high impedance so it is sensitive to this.
The power supply is also somewhat temperature sensitive which may cause problems as well. It is an open loop design with no feedback.
Proper enclosure design and insulation should help.
