Breadboarding HV Rescue Shield 2

Hello, Jeff!
I am about to try a breadboard version of the HV Rescue Shield 2, using the schematics you provided. I have just one Atmega328 (non P) I have to revive, so I figure I'd give it a shot on a breadboard and that's it.
Here are my 2 questions:
- Can I replace the MUN5311DW1T1G with discrete components? (4x 10k Ohm resistors + 1 PNP + 1 NPN). I plan on using 2N3906 and 2N3904 since they are complementary. Or is there an easier way to replace the MUN5311 ?
- I plan on using the MAX662AEPA+ (http://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/MAX662A.pdf) as a replacement for the LT3464. Will that work?
Thanks and best regards.
