Miss-wired Pulse . . now it's dead

I mis-wired J6, and now everything appears to be dead.

-I still here the whine of the HV when it's turned on
-I'm not getting anything from TP1 to Ground.

What are the likely candidates for parts to replace/check?

Sorry to hear that. How was it miswired?

How are you measuring TP1 to ground? Are you saying that the voltage is not 3V (or close to the battery voltage)?
If you remove the microcontroller U2, does that change anything about TP1?

Previously, I had just shorted it before like the troubleshooting suggested looking for a click.

With my meter there is 3v between TP1 and Ground w/ or w/o the micro.

If you short across the tube clips, does the voltage on TP1 drop close to zero volts?

How did you miswire J6?

I suspect that U2 might be damaged, but I want to hear more about how you miswired J6.

1 Data
2 +
3 Gnd

Since that is what was on my circuit board, I thought I was smart enough to put them in the correct order when I created it, I did not.

If I short the tube clips, the voltage drops to near 0V as you anticipated.

OK, thanks for the info. I'm surprised that miswiring the pulse connector damaged the kit but stranger things have happened!

I'd like to send a replacement microcontroller U2 to you to see if that fixes it.

Can you please send an email to support@mightyohm.com with your mailing address and a short note mentioning this post.

New micro fixed it, I'm back up and going.

That's great to hear. Enjoy your kit!
