I wanted radio that would play internet radio and I find Logitech solution and then I find this page. I'd rather like to make it myself (or with somebodies help, because I don't have all tools) and I have a question.
Which wireless routers could be also used without too much hacking? Where I live Asus WL-520gU is not available any more or it is 50 euros (which is 65 dollars). I'm looking for used one at the moment without any success.
Is it maybe possible to connect normal speakers (some generic Logitech cheap model or something) on it?
That's all for now, thank you for any help.
Is it possible?
Re: Is it possible?
Any sort of amplified PC speakers will work, I have used various types with great results.
The only other router I'm aware of is the Asus WL-500gP v2. There are probably more routers that will work, but since I have not tested them, I can't really give you any guidance. If you want to try porting the project to another router, look for one with a few megs of flash, USB and OpenWrt support (including wireless).
